global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Raja Ampat Regency is a Shark Sanctuary, and all sharks are protected within its waters (all species within<span>\u00a0<\/span><em>Class Chondrichthyes, Subclass Elasmobranchii and Subdivision Selachii<\/em>). <\/p>\n<p>The capture, kill, injury, trade or possession of any shark species, or parts of shark species (ie: sharkfin) is illegal within Raja Ampat waters.<\/p>\n<p>The Sanctuary also offers protection to a number ecologically and economically important ocean species including all species within<span>\u00a0<\/span><span>the\u00a0<em>Pristidae, Rhinidae, Rhinobatidae, Myliob atidae and Mobulidae Families<\/em>.<br \/>This includes (but is not limited to) sawfish, guitarfish, wedgefish, shovelnose rays, mobular rays, cownose rays, devil rays, eagle rays, bull nose, mobular, bull ray, and marble ray.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_toggle][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_3&#8243;
